On April 25, Shi Xiaoxi, President of the Fuqing Bonsai and Viewing Stone Culture and Art Research Association, Deputy Director of the Fujian Flower Association Viewing Stone Professional Committee, and owner of Yuanyuan Garden Bonsai Garden, led a delegation to visit Baowen Garden for an exchange activity. Entrusted by Chairman Chen Chang of Baowen Garden, Xu Dongting, Luo Zhijie, and Li Wencai warmly received the visiting group, accompanied them throughout the visit, and engaged in in-depth technical exchanges, jointly discussing the inheritance and development of bonsai art.
During the visit, Xu Dongting and others accompanied Shi Xiaoxi and his delegation, appreciating various high-quality bonsai collections at Baowen Garden one by one, and meticulously explaining the cultivation process, styling ingenuity, and artistic characteristics of the bonsai. Afterwards, they visited the Pearl River Water Treasure Koi breeding area, experiencing the delightful fusion of bonsai art and the dynamic beauty of koi. Shi Xiaoxi highly praised Baowen Garden's rich bonsai collection and exquisite maintenance skills, marveling that the garden fully demonstrates the craftsmanship and charm of traditional bonsai art.
In the subsequent exchange and discussion, both sides conducted systematic and in-depth discussions on core topics of bonsai creation. Drawing on his years of professional experience, Shi Xiaoxi shared creative ideas, styling techniques, and advanced skills for classic tree species such as pines and cypresses. He unreservedly shared professional experience and unique insights on practical issues such as daily maintenance and management of stock material, pest and disease control, and optimization of styling design concepts. As the Executive Vice Chairman of BCI China, and a disciple of International Bonsai Master Wang Hengliang, Shi Xiaoxi has deeply cultivated the field of bonsai art for many years, diligently studying traditional bonsai techniques, and possesses both profound theoretical foundation and rich practical experience. His shared professional knowledge and practical insights greatly benefited those present.
