Organized by BCI and the Guangzhou Municipal People’s Government and sponsored by Guandong Society of Landscape Architects, Guangzhou Bonsai Association, China Region of Bonsai Clubs International (BCI) and the Guangdong Provincial View Stone Association, the 2015 International Convention & Asia Pacific Bonsai Conference will be held in Guangzhou from September 18 to September 21, 2015 at the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall and the Guangdong Science Hall. A major international convention is sponsored each year by BCI (Bonsai Clubs International) and the local host club.

Conventions attract some of the best talent in tree styling and stone appreciation worldwide. Participants have the opportunity to learn from these artists and interact with people with shared interests.

BCI 2016 -Unveiling the Spirit of Cooperation and Friendship in China through Bonsai

BCI officially opened three cooperation centers in Rugao, Shuyang and Kunming, the board members attended the Grand 9th China National Penjing Exhibition of BCI-China Committee, and officially signed contracts for BCI/China International Bonsai & Suiseki Convention in 2019.

The Infinity of Bonsai & Viewing Stones; A Cultural Voyage from Canton to the World

The BCI 2016 Conference was a joint affair with the Asia-Pacific Bonsai and Viewing Stone Association (ASPAC). This major event was organized by BCI,ASPAC, and the People’s Government of Guangzhou Municipality with additionalsupport from six significant sponsors and four co-organizers. 

This was a grand affair because of the broad-based support from organization such as theAdministration of Forestry and Gardening of Guangzhou Municipality, the Chinese Society of Landscape Architecture, the Guangzhou Penjing Association, BCI-China Program, and the Guangdong Provincial Viewing Stone Association. The strong financial and logistical support of the municipal government and societiescontributed to the success of this joint convention.

Highlights from the Annual Board Meeting, Photo Galleries of exhibits, events and ceremonies, and articles on the BCI 2014 Conference, sponsored by BCI and hosted by the Association of Australian Bonsai Clubs (AABC). It turned out to be the largest convention ever conducted in Australia and the largest BCI Convention in recent times with 402 people from 16 different countries registering for convention activities.
