Award Certré International 2008

    This is a 1,000 ¤ (1000 Euro) purchase coupon for outstanding bonsai pot selection--matching pot to its tree. The Certre´Award International is now an online competition. Please visit the following link to learn about the new procedure. The prizes remain the same and the award will be presented in St Vincent, Italy, during BCI/IBS 2008, "Art & Teaching at the Top of Europe" which runs from September 24-28, 2008.

WBFF WORLD BONSAI CONTEST 2007 ---- World Bonsai Contest put on hold!

The Board of Directors of Bonsai Clubs International and WBFF World Bonsai Contest Screening and Selection Committee have discontinued the 2007 WORLD BONSAI CONTEST because of the serious illness of one of the key organizing staff, Mr. Tom Shigemitsu.  Our apologies to our members and those who have already submitted their entries.  
All of us at BCI wish Mr. Shigemitsu a speedy recovery.

One Bonsai no Kokoro Grand Prize:
$1000 (USD) cash and Bonsai no Kokoro Trophy .

Two Bonsai no Kokoro Runner-up Prizes
Award certificate,and special trophy.

Other exhibited winners will be categorized in the following awards;

“International Winners” selected based on nutrition, technical skill and beauty of Bonsai Trees.

“Honorable Mention Winners” selected as the best entries to represent the participating countries and WBFF regions.

Exhibits

The display of the 100 selected entries will be exhibited at the Japanese Bonsai Exhibition Taikanten and published in BCI magazine.

The"PEDRO J. MORALES" Latin American Bonsai Design Award 2007

    This is an biannual $1,000 grant for new bonsai talent in the Latin American hemisphere. Deadline for entries:May 12, 2007. Ben Oki International Design Award

     THE BEN OKI INTERNATIONAL DESIGN AWARD (BOIDA) was an annual competition which had been coordinated by BCI since 1991.   The Ben Oki International Design Award has been discontinued as of 2006. The Ben Oki International Design Award consisted of $500 and an engraved plaque to be given to a beginner in bonsai in recognition of outstanding bonsai design. A second place award ($300) and a third place award ($200) were also be given.
