Casuarina Equisetifolia - Clump Style

This bonsai is from "Cemara Udang" classification or known as Casuarina equisetifolia. When I got this tree, it is still in original form, not a bonsai.

I got this tree from a friend in 1995. He told me himself that the tree had been taken from Pantei Lombang in Madura, the only place where the Tree "Cemara Udang" is originated. When I saw this tree, my feeling told me that this tree would be a very excellent and beautiful bonsai. The tree fulfills the criteria of good stalk, roots and trunks, but my other friends did not realize this fact.

After I bought the tree, I nursed it for about six years and it turned out that the tree grew very well with a big and smooth stalk, mounting roots, untangled trunks and very exquisite dimensions. Those advantages were proven when this tree, in competition with my other 'twin' bonsai, became the champion or runner up in exhibitions at Surabaya, JaRarta and Semarang.

In addition, this Casuarina tree has an old stalk with delicate leaves. So when this tree has been developed, it will become a very beautiful

Bonsai Casuarina needs plenty sunlight and wind to form solid leaves.

The dimension of this tree is 75 cm in height, 155 cm in length 130 cm in width and I named this tree" GATOT KACA ", from the mighty Legendary 'Wayang' hero, because the tree has a strong body structure.
