The tree had been cut almost to the ground and then pulled from the
ground by a large chain. The four or five remaining stub branches had
healthy bark. All of the dead wood now seen is the result of
extensive hand carving by the artist. Four pieces of Utah lace rock were
united to form an overhanging cliff which also serves as the container.
Tree height is 3' 4". Length of the rock is 6' 2".
